Skiing in Ski amadé:
The Flying Mozart cable car, just 500 m from Knappensteig Appartements, is the gateway to one of the most beautiful ski areas in Austria. Superb, long slopes of all levels of difficulty transport you into a dreamlike winter landscape. The top station of the Wagrain cable car is right on the doorstep of two other top ski areas, Flachau and St. Johann, meaning you have access to a total of 100 km of slopes without needing a car.

There is a wide variety of excellent ski schools in the Wagrain-Kleinarl ski resort offering the best levels of support, where the skills and needs of the participants are catered for in a friendly atmosphere. For a great day of skiing, of course you also need the right equipment which you can rent on site from one of the ski and sports shops.

Das Skigebiet Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl ist mehr als nur ein normales Skigebiet, es ist vielmehr ein großer Sportpark, welcher innovative Angebote für sportliche Familien bereithält.
Lots of variety and action-packed slopes are in store. On a total of 40 kilometres of pistes you will find family slopes, natural ski routes, park lines for advanced skiers as well as beginners and the absolute highlight for families: the 19-kilometre-long Family Run with 19 colourful Crazy Dolls stations.

On more than 20 kilometres of cleared winter hiking trails, you can enjoy the snow-covered forests and the unique winter landscape. Marvel at the beauty of winter and experience pure relaxation amidst the sparkling snow. If you’re looking for a little more action, try tobogganing back downhill after the ascent. The Kleinarler Hütte is ideal for this experience: a two-hour ascent to the hut followed by a 6.5-kilometre-long natural toboggan run - fun for the whole family guaranteed!
An ice-skating rink and a curling rink are only 500 m from our apartments and offer something a little bit different for your winter holiday. As an alternative to traditional alpine skiing, Wagrain also offers snow biking and ski touring. Igloo building is also popular, especially for families with children.
