The Wagrain ski area is the mid-point of the Flachau-Wagrain-St.
Johann
ski alliance. Our 3 gondola lifts and the expansive ski runs on the Grafenberg
- towards St. Johann – and the Griesskareck, as well as the Wagrainer
Höhe – towards Flachau – leave nothing for a winter sports enthusiast's
heart to
desire.
The elevation of the Wagrain Ski Area (850 – 2.000 m) and its location
on
the northern side of the Alps, guarantee excellent snow conditions from
December until April. Even when the precipitation lets up, you can still be
assured of non-stop sk2ng fun: the Wagrain Ski Area is equipped with
snow-making machines.
Cross-country skiing/winter hiking:
For those of our Wagrain visitors with a more "Nordic"
frame of mind, we and the surrounding Sports World communities have
groomed some 220 km of cross-country trails reflecting all degrees
of difficulty. Affording access to the 50 km-long Tauern Trail,
Wagrain offers you unforgettable cross-country adventures through
terrain that is both easy and filled with variety.
The extended trail to Kleinarl and the Jägersee offers a cross-country
experience of a very special kind. Taking into account your personal
physical condition and technical skills, decide for yourself which
of the various trail stages are destined to become today's great
adventure.

Starting from Winter Season 2011/12, all our guests will receive
1 free admission per day to the in- & outdoor pool area of “Wasserwelt
Wagrain”
(winter season: entrance is limited to 2 hours; summer season: day
ticket; in case of bad weather-entrance is limited to 3 hours).
